The Nubia X Smartphone

At a glance, this new smartphone bears nothing significant than a metal frame which combines two glasses, the back and the sides slightly curved to create a soft and stylish feel and comfortable grip; which is the general trend today. But within few days since the release, the ZTE Nubia X conquered the attention of the internet. The Nubia X is one of the most unique smartphones we can ever come across. It is undoubtedly has become a delightful surprise for the smartphone market.

The new ZTE smartphone comes with a 6.26-inch screen with a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels. The bezel is optimized for screen ratios of 93, 6%.

The most eye-catching feature of Nubia X is the hidden second screen under the glass back. This second screen allows the front of the device to be completely notch-less without the need for a front camera cutout. The back of the phone is simply reflective and blue but possesses a display hidden underneath which is equipped with an OLED screen size up to 5.1 inches and a familiar dual camera system. The Nubia X sub-screen interestingly does not inferior the main screen; has an impressive display quality of 19: 9 aspect ratios with a resolution of 1520×720 pixels.

The fingerprint scanner is where your thumb rests. Based on the way you hold the phone, it knows which screen you are using and it will instantly light up. Since there is no front camera, you can use the rear camera to take the selfies, and the photographs get switched to the front screen with a higher resolution. The Nubia X’s rear camera system has 24 MP f / 1.7 and 16 MP f / 1.8 resolution, dual PDAF, HDR, AI which helps to capture photographs with high quality.

The two screens do not work at the same time, except in some cases like gaming. Switching between the two screens is not very convenient when the user has to interact with the fingerprint sensor pair which is located on the two sides. The Nubia X version to ZTE will gracefully use sensors or AI to help make the second screen role more obvious, the conversion is also easier.

Stating the Nubia X configuration; it uses 845 Snapdragon 8 core, Adreno 630 graphics processor, 6/8 GB LPDDR4X high-speed memory, 64/128/256 GB memory option, 3,800 mAh battery supports Quick Charge 4.0, Android OS Oreo 8.1 with custom interface Nubia UI 6.0 X.  The smartphone comes in attractive colors such as black, blue, gold and red.
