A smartphone with a greater RAM than a standard laptop?

The “RAM” (“random access memory”) is the reason for your smartphone to work efficiently and fast. Simply, RAM is a super-fast type of storage where it is faster than your phone’s main storage where your apps, photos, videos, and music live.

The operating system (OS) and app’s data are pulled from the phone’s slower main storage into your phone’s faster RAM, once you turn on your phone and open an app for the first time. This RAM helps to function the features of the OS and apps in an efficient manner. Faster the phone’s RAM, it multitasks well, switching between all the apps and picking up right where you left off.

The conclusion is that your phone could have the fastest chip in the world and it would be slow without a RAM.

The OnePlus 6T McLaren edition has a high capacity RAM, an even faster wired-charging system, and a special black-and-orangecolourr scheme; compared to the versions of 6T released earlier this year. The phone will be available in North America and Western Europe for $699 / €699, starting on December 13th. It will arrive in China, India, and the Nordics at a later date.

The standard OnePlus 6T starts at $549 for 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, therefore to justify its price tag, the McLaren edition has 10GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and OnePlus’ new Warp Charge 30 wired charging. Highlighting the history of McLaren’s racing efforts, it ships in orange McLaren-branded packaging along with a special orange and black USB-C cable and headphone dongle, a McLaren-branded case, a piece of actual carbon fibre encased in an acrylic block, and a hardcover book.

On the outside, the McLaren 6T has a fluorescent orange highlight along the bottom edge of the phone’s frame, and a glossy black finish with a carbon fibre pattern woven under the back glass and also the edge-to-edge display with small teardrop notch and dual rear camera system.

You will love the special animation that pops up when the on-screen fingerprint scanner is used to unlock the phone.

The new charging system of OnePlus will thoroughly amaze you with the new Warp Charge 30 charger, refuelling the McLaren 6T’s 3700mAh battery up to 50 percent faster than the Fast Charge system on other OnePlus phones. It is very impressive to make one of the fastest wired charging systems available on any smartphone, even faster. The company says only the McLaren version of the 6T will achieve the fastest charging speeds with the included charger; other OnePlus devices will default to standard Fast Charge speeds when plugged into it.

The unique branding and accessories that come with the McLaren version will excite and impress you and is enough to justify the cost for hardcore McLaren fans.
