OnePlus කියනනේ දැන් ලෝකයේ කියවෙන අලුත් phone brand එකක්. එම brand එක ලෝකෙට ඇවිල්ල තාම වැඩි කාලයක් ගත වුණේ නෑ. මේ mobile phone company එක පටන් ගත්තෙ 2013 අවුරුද්දේ අන්තිම කාලෙ. මෙහි parent company එක වෙන්නෙ OPPO company එක. නමුත් ඇත්තටම බැලුවම OPPO කියන්නෙත් තව company එකක subsidiary එකක්. මේ සේරගේම parent company එක වෙන්නෙ BBK Electronic Corporation කියන චීන company එක. Made in China phone වලට මිනිස්සු අතරෙ තියෙන දුර් මතය ඉවත් කරන්න පුළුවන් වුණ company එකක් තමයි OnePlus කියන mobile phone brand එක. අද කියන්න යන්නෙ OnePlus 5 කියන අලුත්ම phone එක ගැන.

OnePlus 5 phone එක ගැන මුලින්ම කියවුනේ පසුගිය 20 තිබ්බ keynote එකකදි. ඇමරිකාව, කැනඩාව ඇතුළු රටවල් කිපයක වෙළදපොලට නිකුත් වුන එදිනම. චීනය හා ඉන්දියාව තුල මෙය වෙළඳපොළට නිකුත් වෙන්නෙ අද. නමුත් ජුනි 27 ඉදන් තමයි අනිත් රටවල මෙය නිකුත් වෙන්නෙ. ඒ කියන්නෙ ලංකාවේ අපිට 27 වෙනකන් ඉන්න වෙනවා මේ phone එක මිලදී ගන්න. $479ක මුදලකට තමයි මෙය මිල නියම වෙලා තියෙන්නෙ. ඒ කියන්නේ රුපියල් 75,000කට අසන්න මුදලක්. නමුත් බදු එකතු වුනාම එහි වටිනාකම තව වැඩි වෙන්න පුළුවන්.

OnePlus 5 එන්න කලින් release වුනේ OnePlus 3T කියන model එක. 3Tට පස්සෙ 4 අවේ නැත්තේ ඇයි කියල ඔබට ප්‍රශ්නයක් ඇති. එකට හේතුව වෙලා තියෙන්නෙ චීන මිනිස්සු අතරේ ඇදහීමක් තියෙනවා 4 කියන්නෙ අසුබ ඉලක්කමක් කියල. එක නිසා තමා අලුත් model එක OnePlus 5 කියල නම් කරලා තියෙන්නෙ.

The wait is over! Intel has come up with their newest and most powerful consumer processor “Intel Core i9” , mesmerizing the techies all over the world. Though the price is a bit high, they have added some lucrative features to this processor when compared with the previous ones in the Core X series.

This time the processor consist of 18-cores (in addition to 10,12,14,16 Core versions) and 36 threads which could be considered as a huge success in terms of performance. Could you even imagine what kind of things you can do if you have one? To put that into perspective, you could watch videos or play games in 4K while broadcasting them in HD with an Intel Core i9-7900X processor.

Now let’s quickly go through some advantages and disadvantages of the Core i9 processor as of now.

Advantages

CPU can handle more tasks at once since the number of cores has increased.
15% faster than the previous processors.
CPU can temporarily increase power for short bursts without overheating because of the Turbo Boost 3.0
TS13X, the newest cooling system which has been introduced by Intel keeps the chip’s temperature under control.

Disadvantages

Cost is high compared with other processors in the Core X series.
At the moment this is not available for laptops or any other device apart from desktops.

As you can notice, keeping the cost and availability aside, having a Core i9 will get your work done quite easily even if you are a heavy user.

When compared with its competitors, Intel seems to have won yet again against AMD with the Intel Core i9 processor. AMD rolled out 16-core Threadripper CPU which was considered as the best processor for this year. However, Intel’s Core i9 processor beats the 16-core Threadripper and is also taking on the AMD’s new high-performance Ryzen chips.

Although it’s not officially revealed yet Intel is working on eighth generation “Coffee-lake ” Core i-series CPUs which is speculated to be 30 percent faster than seventh-generation processors.
And If you are low on budget, there’s a good news. The 10 core version of Core i9 processors is available for just $999 (about 160,000 LKR) for everyone who can’t afford an 18 core version. All in all, Intel Core i9 seems to be a promising

All in all, Intel Core i9 seems to be a promising high-end processor that is beyond the expectation of any user. It outperforms its competition and will soon be adopted by consumers around the globe with its X series processor line.

For most of us, the first mobile experience was a Nokia, as Nokia was dominating the mobile world for such a long period of time. Inability to adapt to the new technical changes in the market made their sales decrease while the sales of competitors sky-rocketed by a huge percentage. When Nokia was struggling in the market, Microsoft offered to help by entering into a partnership with Nokia. This joint venture lead to the change of the brand name of mobile phones from Nokia to Microsoft and the two companies together could made some profits but not as much as they expected. The rumors of the return of the Nokia were spread out but it was said that the company’s agreement with Microsoft prohibits it from selling Nokia-branded phones until 2016.

What made us talk about Nokia in the very beginning of 2017 is the Nokia 6, a Nokia-branded smartphone which was released a few weeks ago. The Nokia 6 is an Android phone making it the second Android phone under the brand name Nokia. What’s so special is that the Nokia 6 sold out all its initial stock in just a minute after being released. Now let’s look at this new phone.
First I must say that, though the brand name is Nokia it is not from the old Nokia manufacturer we used to know. This phone has been manufactured by a Finnish company called HMD Global which has got license to sell Nokia phones. Currently this phone has announced sales only in the Chinese market.

When looking at the phone itself, Nokia 6 has an aluminum 6000 series metal body. The design is nothing new but more similar to an ordinary smartphone in the market. Nokia 6 was released only in black color. Most of the Nokia fans were expecting this in white as well but they have confirmed that it will not.

The phone comes with a 5.5 inch full HD IPS display wrapped in 2.5D Gorilla Glass. This has a relatively high resolution of 1080×1920 pixels at a 403ppi. What we find so exciting in Nokia 6 is that it comes with a finger print scanner right inside the home button making it the first Nokia phone to have biometrics installed.

When talking about the cameras, the phone comes with a 16 MP rear camera and a front camera of 8 MP.

As I mentioned before, Nokia 6 is an Android phone. It runs the latest version of Android, which is Android Nougat. Also the company has announced that they will provide quick updates to their phones which is a plus point for the company.

When talking about the performance, Nokia 6 comes with a Snapdragon 430 CPU. Snapdragon 430 is considered to be an entry level CPU and also can be found in smartphones which are one third of the price of Nokia 6. Due to the CPU limitations, Nokia 6 cannot record 4K videos. The maximum video quality is limited to full HD. This can make Nokia fans disappointed a bit about the product but still other features of the phone are pretty much exciting.

Storage is another important factor to be considered about of a smartphone. Nokia 6 comes with an internal storage of 64 GB which is expandable. 3000 mAh battery will help you to stay awake more hours.

Nokia 6 is a mid-range smartphone exclusively targeted the Chinese market. The initial price is set to 1,699 Yuan which is approximately 37, 000 LKR.
This new phone has already got both positive and negative ideas in the market. Although it seems like Nokia fans have expected something better than this, they are indeed happy with the fact that Nokia again came up with their brand name. Hopefully, we can expect some innovative products from the long lost king of mobile phones in the near future.

මෙය විදුලි බුබුලක්. නමුත් මෙහි විශේෂත්වය තමයි මේ බල්බය පත්තුවෙන්නේ විද්‍යුත් චුම්බකත්වය උපයෝගී කරගෙන. අඩු වොටියතාවකින් දල්වන්න පුළුවන් LED බල්බයක් මෙය. මෙහි ආයු කාලය ඉතා වැඩි. දිනකට පැය 11ක් බැගින් වසර 11ක් පමණ භාවිත කරන්න පුළුවන් කියල තමයි සදහන් වෙන්නෙ. විද්‍යුත් දුම්රිවල භාවිතාවන විද්‍යුත් චුම්බකත්ව ආචරණය තමයි මෙහිත් සිද්ධාන්තය වෙලා තියෙන්නෙ. මෙහි බල්බය හා විද්‍යුත් චුම්බකය සහිත පෙට්ටිය වෙන වෙනම තමයි තියෙන්නෙ. බල්බය දැල්වී තියෙන අවස්ථාවෙදි චුම්බකය මත බල්බය පාවෙමින් තමයි තිබෙන්නෙ. එය විද්‍යත්මිකව හදුන්වන්නෙ levitation ලෙස. මෙය amazon හරහා මිලදී ගන්නවනම් රු50,000 පමණ වෙන්ව.

IoT කියන දෙයත් එක්ක තමයි Google Home කියන දෙය අාවේ. ගෙදරක සිදු වෙන ගොඩක් දේවල් automate කිරීමක් තමයි මේකෙන් වෙන්නෙ. උදේ නින්දෙන් නැගිට්ට වෙලාවෙ ඉදන් රෑ නිදාගන්නකම් හුගක් දේවල් කට වචනයෙන් කරගන්න පුළුවන් මේක නිසා. Artificial intelligence තමයි මෙහි ගැබ් වෙලා තියෙන්නේ. AIවල ගොඩක් ලොකු පිම්මක් තමයි Google Home වලින් එළි දුටුවෙ.

මේවා තමයි 2016 වසරේ හඳුන්වා දුන් නව සොයා ගැනීම් විදියට අපි දකින්නේ. අපිට මොනවා හරි මග හැරුණා නම්, පහලින් comment එකක් දාලා හැමෝම එක්ක ඒ දැනුම බෙදා ගනිමු.

Embedded Systems සමඟ ගනුදෙනුව ආරම්භ කරන බොහෝ දෙනෙක්ට සහ එහි විශේෂඥයන්ට පවා නැතිවම බැරි උපකරණයක් විදිහට Arduino හඳුන්වන්න පුළුවන්.

මේ ලිපියෙන් මම කථා කරන්න බලාපොරොත්තු වෙන්නේ ඇයි අපි Embedded Systems නිපදවීම් කරන අය බහුලව භාවිතා කරන Raspberry Pi වැනි උපකරණයක් භාවිතා නොකර Arduino භාවිතයට යොමු වෙන්නේ කියලා.

එයට ලබා දෙන්න පුළුවන් කෙටිම පිළිතුර, Arduino වල ඇති සරල බව.

Embedded Systems සමඟ ක්‍රියා කරන්න මුල් වරට යොමුවන කෙනෙක්ට සරල, ඉක්මන් ආරම්භයක් ලබා ගන්න පුළුවන් උපකරණ අතර Arduino මුල් තැනක් ගන්නවා. එයට හේතු කිහිපයක් තිබෙනවා,

මෙම Arduino Uno උපකරණයක් රු.1000 කටත් වඩා අඩු මුදලකට ඔබට ලබාගත හැකි වීම ඉතා විශේෂයි. මීට අමතර Arduino Mini, Arduino Nano වැනි උපකරණ එයටත් වඩා අඩු මුදලකට ලබා ගත හැකියි.

ඉගෙනීමට ඇති පහසුව

Arduino වල තිබෙන විශේෂම ලක්ෂණය තමයි ඉගෙනීමට ඇති පහසුව. එයට හේතු වන කරුණු අතර තිබෙන ප්‍රධානම කරුණ තමයි Arduino වලටම විශේෂ වූ ක්‍රමලේඛ භාෂාවක් (Programming Language) තිබීම. එය ඉතාමත් පහසු කිසිදු මූලික දැනුමක් නැති අයෙකුට වුනත් ලෙහෙසියෙන්ම ඉගෙන ගත හැකි ක්‍රමලේඛ භාෂාවක්. ඒ වගේම ඔබට ඉතාමත් සතුටු විය හැකි දෙයක් Arduino වල තිබෙනවා. ඔබ Arduino උපකරණය පරිගණකයට සම්බන්ධ කර මිනිත්තු කිහිපයක් තුලම LED නිමෙන දැල්වෙන රටා මවන්න හැකියාව ලැබෙනවා. එය ආරම්භකයෙකුට ඉදිරි ගමන සඳහා විශාල පෙළඹවීමක් ඇති කරන බව මගේ විශ්වාසයයි. ඔබ භාවිතා කරන්නේ Arduino Uno උපකරණයක් නම් සම්බන්ධ කිරීමට wire පවා නොමැතිව LED බල්බ සමඟ ක්‍රියාත්මක වන ආකාරය පරීක්ෂා කරන්න පුළුවන්.

Ultrasonic Sensor HC-SR04 is used to measure distance. We can find precise distance to an object from the sensor, or can used to detect when something is within range of the sensor. It can measure distance with high accuracy from 2cm to 400 cm. Its operation is not affected by darkness or light .Because it uses sound to measure distance.

Ultrasonic range finder measure distance by emitting a pulse of ultrasonic sound that travels through the air until it hits an object. It measure the time of the sound pulse which travel forward & back to the sensor when the pulse hits the object. Then it sends an electrical signal to the Arduino with information about the time that sonic pulse traveled.

Ultrasonic range finder has 2 transducers.
