After three days of intense competition, the second edition of the Asia Pacific Predator League concluded after the grand final rounds of Player Unknowns Battleground (PUBG) and DOTA2 battles came to an end at the Nimibutr Stadium in Bangkok Thailand last week. The top 26 out of 3,530 esports teams across the Asia Pacific region gathered in Bangkok for the finals, with over 10,000 fans who came to witness the battles, over 4.3 million views online and a peak concurrent viewership of over 60,000.

South Korea’s AfreecaFreecs Fatal claimed the PUBG title and TNC Predator from the Philippines claimed the DOTA2 Predator Shield after three days of intense competition.

DOTA2 was played off against ten teams in three rounds. Sri Lanka’s team PnX|Indomitus played against Mongolia’s YG esports and Malaysia’s heavyweights LOTAC but failed to make an impression against these highly competitive teams. “We went in without one of our star players and with the least amount of training compared to the other teams,” said Walid aka Spades. “But overall, playing against a world class team like LOTAC was such an exciting moment,” he added. Team PnX|Indomitus comprised of Viren “Hawkie” Dias, Munthasir “ToadBosS” Shiraz, Walid “SpadeS” Mohammed, Dinuka “6ixx” Perera and Mohammed “InsearchOfJuliet” Safraz.

Held for the second consecutive year, the Acer Predator League encourages teams and participants from the Asia Pacific region to battle against each other for the coveted Predator Shield.

Acer announced that the Asia Pacific Predator League 2020 will be held in the Philippines at the closing ceremony of this year’s tournament in Thailand.
