Assistant කිව්ව ගමන් ඔබට මතක් වෙන්නෙ කෙනෙක්ගෙ වැඩක් කරල දෙන්න ඉන්න කෙනෙක් විදියටයි. ඇත්තටම ඒ වගේ දෙයක් ගැන තමයි අද මේ කියන්න හදන්නෙ. Google assistant, Siri වගේ නම් ඇහුණ ගමන් ඔබට මතක් වෙන්නෙ කටහඬ මගින් මොනව හරි දෙයක් search කරල දෙන tool එකක් විදියට. මෙහි නිවැරදි technical term එක වෙන්නෙ Virtual assistant කියන එක. Virtual assistant කෙනෙක් කියන්නේ විවිධ tasks හෝ services කරන්න පුළුවන් software agent කෙනෙක්.
Google IO Keynote එක කියන්නෙ වාර්ෂිකව Google විසින් පවත්වන conference එකක්. ඒකෙදි තමයි ඉදිරි දේවල් ගැන ලෝකයට එළිදක්වන්නේ. Google එකේ CEO සුන්දර් පිචායි ප්‍රමුඛ කණ්ඩායමක් තමයි මෙහි අදහස් දැක්වීම හා අලුත් දේවල් ගැන කියන්නෙ. මෙහි දී Google ගැන අලුත් දේවල් රැසක් එළි වුණා වගේම අලුත් තොරතුරු කියවුණා.
Google Drive සඳහා මිලියන 800ක් මාසික පරිශීලක ප්‍රමාණයක්, Google Photo සඳහා මිලියන 500ක් මාසික පරිශීලක ප්‍රමාණයක්, Google Assistant සඳහා මිලියන 100ක පරිශීලක ප්‍රමාණයක් ඇති බව හෙළි වුණා. ඊට අමතරව දිනකට බිලියන 1.2ක් ඡායාරුප upload වන අතර Google Maps මගින් දිනකට සැතපුම් බිලිනයක් පමණ navigation කරන බවත් දිනකට YouTube මගින් පැය බිලියනයක video බැලීමක් සිදුවෙනවා.

Are you satisfied with the existing messaging apps? Do you need a new messaging app with new features? What if you got a messaging app with an AI? Yes! There is a new messaging app called “Allo”.
Allo is the latest messaging app introduced by Google which has used Google Assistant as its main functionality. In other words Google Assistant which is a Google product that aims to take on Apple’s Siri and Amazon’s Alex, is used in Allo in order to make the app more effective. But I have to say that this is not completely built with an AI. This is not to replace Google’s other messaging apps such as ‘Hangouts’ or ‘ProjectFi’, and also this is not derived from Google’s Hangout or Messenger. It is built from the scratch. This is just a fresh start for Google’s new communication methodologies.
