Windows දුරකතනයේ අභාවය

Windows ජංගම දුරකතන පරිශීලකයන්ට කණගාටුදායක පුවතක් පසුගියදා Microsoft සමාගමේ Joe Belfiore විසින් අනාවරණය කරල තියෙනවා.

තම twitter ගිණුමේ සටහනක් තබමින් Belfiore කියා තිබෙන්නේ Windows 10 ජංගම දුරකතන සඳහා නව තාක්ෂණික විශේෂාංගයන් හෝ දෘඩාංග නිපදවීමට තවදුරටත් Microsoft සමාගම බලාපොරොත්තු වෙන්නේ නෑ කියලා.
Windows ජංගම දුරකතන සඳහා නව විශේෂාංග සමඟ යාවත්කාලීන (update) කිරීම් අපේක්ෂාවෙන් සිටි සියලු දෙනාට දැනට පවතින මෙහෙයුම් පද්ධතිය සහ සේවාවන්ගෙන් සැහීමකට පත් වෙන්නට සිදුවෙන බවයි මෙයින් පෙනෙන්නේ.

Belfiore ගේ සටහනට අනුව, ඔවුන් දැනට සිටින පරිශීලකයින් සඳහා දෝෂ නිවැරදි කිරීම් (bug fixes) සහ ආරක්ෂක යාවත්කාලීන කිරීම් (security updates) සහිතව මෙහෙයුම් පද්ධතිය supporting mode එකක් තුළ පවත්වාගෙන යාමට සැලසුම් කර තිබෙනවා.

“සැබැවින්ම අපි platform එක පවත්වාගෙන යාමට නිරන්තරයෙන් සහාය වෙනවා දෝෂ නිවැරදි කිරීම, ආරක්ෂක යාවත්කාලීනයන් ඉදිරියේත් තියේවි”,
“නමුත් නව විශේෂාංග / hardware නිර්මාණය සඳහා අපගේ අවධානය යොමු කරන්නේ නෑ .” යනුවෙන් Belfiore තම Twitter ගිණුමේ සටහන් කර තිබුණා.

කෙසේ වුවත් ඔයා Microsoft හෝ Windows පුවත් ගැන විමසිල්ලෙන් සිටියානම් Windows 10 Fall Creators Update development හිදී Windows ජංගම දුරකථන ගැන සඳහන් කිරීමක් සිදු නොවු බව දන්නවා ඇති. ඒ වෙනුවට Microsoft සමාගම “feature2” තාක්ෂණය පිලිබඳ උනන්දු වී ඇති බවයි සඳහන් වුණේ.

ඊට හේතුව?

ඇත්තටම, Windows දුරකථන ව්‍යාපාරය වසරකට වැඩි කාලයක් තිස්සේ අකර්මන්‍ය වී තිබුණා. නමුත් සමාගම මීට පෙර නිළ වශයෙන් ඒ පිලිබඳ ප්‍රකාශයක් සිදු කරේ නෑ. පසුගිය වසරේදී Microsoft සමාගම සිය දුරකථන ව්‍යාපාරය අතුගා දැමුවේ දහස් ගණනක් රැකියා කප්පාදු කරමින්.

මෑතකදී පවත්වන ලද සම්මන්ත්‍රණ වලදී ප්‍රධාන විධායක නිලධාරී (CEO) Satya Nadella, සමාගමේ මුලික සංකල්පයක් වුනු “mobile-first, cloud-first” සංකල්පය අතහැර Intelligent Cloud සහ Intelligent Edge ලෙස ඔහු හඳුන්වන සංකල්පයන් ගැන ප්‍රකාශ කර තිබෙනවා. එහි විශේෂත්වය වෙන්නේ ඒ තුළින් multi-device සහ cloud-powered තාක්ෂණයන් සඳහා Windows අනිවාර්ය කර නොතිබිමයි.

Windows Phone හි අනාගතය?

Belfiore තවදුරටත් කියා සිටියේ ඔහු මෙන්ම Bill Gates ද Android වෙත මාරු වී ඇති බවයි, එමෙන්ම තමන්ගේ දුරකථන මත Android සහ iOS භාවිතා කිරීමට කැමති Windows 10 ගනුදෙනුකරුවන්ට Microsoft සහාය දෙන බවත් ඔහු කියා තියෙනවා. සමාගම Windows දුරකථන අත්හැර දැමීමට ප්‍රධානම හේතුවක් හැටියට ඔහු සඳහන් කරේ, මෘදුකාංග නිර්මාණකරුවන් කිසි විටෙකත් platform එක නිසිලෙස පවත්වාගෙන යාමට උනන්දු නොවීමයි.
ඔයාලා දන්නවා ඇති, Microsoft Windows දුරකථන ඇප්ස් ගබඩාව සමඟ බොහෝ ගැටළු තියෙනවා කියල .මේ ඇප්ලිකේෂන් සංවර්ධනය කිරීමෙන් පසුව ඒවා රඳවා ගැනීමට අපහසු වීමත් මීට හේතු වී තියෙනවා.

Android සඳහා වූ නවතම Microsoft Launcher හි දියුණු customize කිරීම සහ PC sharing වගේ විශේෂාංග නිසා Android සඳහා නව අත්දැකීමක් ලබාදීමට ඔවුන්ට හැකිවී තිබෙනවා. අනාගතයේදී Windows වලින් පමණක් බලගැන්වූ දුරකථන දැකීමට නොහැකි වුවත් මේ වගේ iOS සහ Android සමඟ මුසුවූ දෘඩාංග අපිට අපේක්ෂා කරන්න පුළුවන්. Microsoft සමාගමේ iOS සහ Android හි ආයෝජනයන් තුලින් Windows 10 පාරිභෝගිකයින්ට ප්‍රතිලාභ ලැබේවි. ඒ වගේම, වසර ගණනාවක් තිස්සේ සමාගමෙ අසමසම දුරකථන නිෂ්පාදනයේ වෑයම්වලට දායක වීමට එමගින් හැකි වේවි.

Chamath Palihapitiya is listed as a one of the coolest people who matter most in Silicon Valley. He is a highly-successful entrepreneur who was born in Sri Lanka. Within the high-tech community, he is known as a sharp investor and executive. At his age of six, he moved to Canada with his family. In 1999, he graduated from the University of Waterloo with a First-Class Honors degree in Electrical Engineering and moved to California in 2000. Then he joined AOL and became the youngest VP in AOL’s history at the age of 26.

He has worked in several companies and he was a member of Facebook’s senior management team as well. He served in various roles during his four-year stint at Facebook and he was was a major force in the launch and the incredible growth of Facebook, but he quit his job at Facebook in 2011. Within the high-tech community, he’s known as a sharp investor and executive who made it big when Facebook went public.

Chamath Palihapitiya as a venture capitalist

After quitting Facebook, he started his own fund called Social+Capital Partnership. In 2015, the firm changed its name to Social Capital. Chamath Palihapitiya is the founder and CEO of investment firm: Social Capital. The firm has stood out strategically, with a focus on technology in financial services and education, health care and on software as a service. Social Capital started investing in health and education when those fields were being largely neglected by other venture capitalists.

He launched a new “blank-check” company in partnership with the London-based venture capitalist firm named Social Capital Hedosophia Holdings Corp. This company is formed for the purpose of entering into share exchange, asset acquisition, stock purchase, reorganization or similar business combination with one or more businesses. Recently they announced the pricing of its initial public offering. And they listed 60,000,000 units at a price of $10.00 per unit on the New York Stock Exchange. After listed their shares on the stock exchange on last Wednesday(17/09/13) it went up to 3.5% in the first half of next day.

This new “blank-check” company doesn’t have any products or customers. And also it doesn’t own anything yet. But initial shares of the company were up that much because shareholders trust the strategies of Chamath Palihapitiya. The company plans to buy stakes in private tech companies. They will buy from minority stakes to controlling interests to full ownership.

He achieved all these because of his unflagging dedication and he will become one of the billionaires in the world near future.

Senosis Health කියලා හඳුන්වන්නේ මෑතකදී Google සමාගම විසින් මිලට ගත් startup company එකක්. මෙම ආයතනයෙන් කරන්නේ විවිධ සෞඛ්‍යය තොරතුරු එකතු කරගෙන android smart phones මිනිසෙක්ගේ සෞඛ්‍යය තත්වය නිර්ණය කරගැනීමේ හැකියාවක් ඇති උපාංග බවට පරිවර්තනය කිරීමයි. Senosis ආයතනයෙන් නිර්මාණය කළ apps වලට පෙනහළු වල සෞඛ්‍යය තත්වය සහ රුධිරයේ හිමොග්ලොබින් ප්‍රමාණය වැනි දේ නිර්ණය කරගන්න පුලුවන්. මේ සඳහා ජංගම දුරකථන වල අන්තර්ගත විශේෂාංග වන accelerometer, flash, කැමරාව සහ මයික්‍රෆෝනය වැනි දේ භාවිතා කරනු ලබනවා. උදාහරණයක් වශයෙන් හිමොග්ලොබින් මට්ටම මැන ගැනීම සඳහා දුරකතනයේ flash භාවිතයෙන් අදාළ පුද්ගලයාගේ ඇඟිල්ල පරීක්ෂා කර දත්ත සපයන්න මේ ඇප් එකට පුලුවන්.

එළිදැක්වීම

කාලයක් තිස්සේ ඇසුණු දෙයක් තමයි අලුතින් එන Android OS එක. ඔන්න සුවිශේෂී දවසක සුවිශේෂී වෙලාවක තමයි අලුත් OS එක officially release වුණේ. මෙය Android හි 8 වන සංස්කරණය ලෙස හදුන්වන්න පුළුවන්. ඒ තමයි අගෝස්තු මාසේ 21 වෙනිදා New York නුවරදී තමයි මේක release කරේ. සිදුවුණ සුවිශේෂී දෙය තමයි සුර්ය ග්‍රහණයක් සිදුවීම.

කලින් ලැබුණු නිල නොවන ආරංචි සනාථ කරමින් මේ අලුත් OS එක Oreo කියල තමයි නම් කරලා තිබ්බේ. නමුත් ප්‍රථම අදියරයේ Oreo release වුනේ Google එක සම්බන්ධ smartphonesවලට විතරයි. ඒ කියන්නේ Google Pixel හා Google Nexus කියන smartphones වලට විතරයි. එයත් manual installation එකක් තමයි ලබාදුන්නේ. මිට අමතරව Oreo එන්න තියෙන phones ගැන අන්තර්ජාලයේ කතා බහක් ඇතිවෙලා තිබෙනවා. ඒ අනුව Huawei Mate 9, OnePlus 3, 3T හා 5, Nokia 3,5 හා 6 සඳහාත් Asus Zenfone 3 හා 4, Samsung Galaxy S8, Note 8, S7 සඳහාත් Motorolla, LG, Acer, Lenovo, Sony හා HTC ඇතුළු මෑතක නිපදවූ smartphone සඳහාත් Oreo release වෙන බව තමයි සඳහන් වෙන්නෙ.

2015 අවුරුද්දේ අන්තිම මාස කීපයේ දී, විද්‍යාඥයින් කීපදෙනෙක්ට පුළුවන් වුණා ලෝකෙම පුදුම කරවන්න. LIGO ආයතනයේ සේවය කරන මේ අය තමයි ලොව ප්‍රථම ගුරුත්වජ තරංග නිරීක්ෂණය සිදුකළේ. ඊට මාස කීපයකට පසුව ඔවුන්ට හැකි වුණා දෙවන වරට මේ අපූර්ව සංසිද්ධිය නිරීක්ෂණය කරන්න.

පසුගිය ජුනි 1 වෙනිදා ඔවුන් විසින් තුන්වන ගුරුත්වජ තරංග නිරීක්ෂණයක් සනාථ කරනු ලැබුවා: ආලෝක වර්ෂ බිලියන 3ක් විතර ඈත තිබුණු කළු කුහර දෙකක ඝට්ටනයක්. මේ සිදුවීම් නිසාවෙන් LIGO ආයතනය තීරණය කරලා තියෙනවා නූතන විද්‍යාවට අලුත් ශාඛාවක් එකතු කරන්න: ගුරුත්වජ තරංග තාරකා විද්‍යාව.

ගුරුත්වජ තරංග යනු මොනවාද?

LIGO ආයතනය නිරීක්ෂණය කළ ගුරුත්වජ තරංග හටගැනුනේ මේ කළු කුහර දෙක එකිනෙකා වටා භ්‍රමණය වීමෙන් සහ ගැටීමෙන්. එම කණ්ඩායමට පුළුවන් වෙලා තියෙනවා මේ තරංග වල ස්වභාවයෙන්, එක් එක් කළු කුහරයේ භ්‍රමණය ගැනත් විස්තර ලබාගන්න.

වර්තමානය වන විට, මේ ගුරුත්වජ තරංග වලට සංවේදී වන නිරීක්ෂක දෙකක් පෘථිවියේ තියෙනවා. ඒ ලුයිසියානා සහ වොෂින්ටන් යන ප්‍රාන්ත දෙකේ. නමුත් නුදුරු අනාගතයෙදී අපිට තුන්වැන්නක් දැකගන්න පුළුවන් වෙයි: ඉතාලියේ Virgo සංවේදකය. විශ්වයේ රහස් ගැන තවමත් අඳුරේ අතපත ගානා අපට මේ නිරීක්ෂක පූර්වාලෝකයක් වනු නොඅනුමානයි.

Microsoft went huge on Artificial Intelligence as they revealed the new AI integrated tools at Microsoft Build on Wednesday, the 10th of May.

The Technology Giant unveiled their vision, how AI driven tools can be incorporated into people’s day to day activities to make people’s lives smarter, efficient and improve wellbeing.

Microsoft research runs deep into areas of machine learning, speech recognition, image recognition and hand gesture recognition.

Microsoft executive vice president of artificial intelligence and research Harry Shum stated, “We are infusing AI into every product and service we offer. We’ve been creating the building blocks for the current wave of AI breakthroughs for more than two decades.”He also pointed out that now they are on the verge of using those research breakthroughs.

The wait is over! Intel has come up with their newest and most powerful consumer processor “Intel Core i9” , mesmerizing the techies all over the world. Though the price is a bit high, they have added some lucrative features to this processor when compared with the previous ones in the Core X series.

This time the processor consist of 18-cores (in addition to 10,12,14,16 Core versions) and 36 threads which could be considered as a huge success in terms of performance. Could you even imagine what kind of things you can do if you have one? To put that into perspective, you could watch videos or play games in 4K while broadcasting them in HD with an Intel Core i9-7900X processor.

Now let’s quickly go through some advantages and disadvantages of the Core i9 processor as of now.

Advantages

CPU can handle more tasks at once since the number of cores has increased.
15% faster than the previous processors.
CPU can temporarily increase power for short bursts without overheating because of the Turbo Boost 3.0
TS13X, the newest cooling system which has been introduced by Intel keeps the chip’s temperature under control.

Disadvantages

Cost is high compared with other processors in the Core X series.
At the moment this is not available for laptops or any other device apart from desktops.

As you can notice, keeping the cost and availability aside, having a Core i9 will get your work done quite easily even if you are a heavy user.

When compared with its competitors, Intel seems to have won yet again against AMD with the Intel Core i9 processor. AMD rolled out 16-core Threadripper CPU which was considered as the best processor for this year. However, Intel’s Core i9 processor beats the 16-core Threadripper and is also taking on the AMD’s new high-performance Ryzen chips.

Although it’s not officially revealed yet Intel is working on eighth generation “Coffee-lake ” Core i-series CPUs which is speculated to be 30 percent faster than seventh-generation processors.
And If you are low on budget, there’s a good news. The 10 core version of Core i9 processors is available for just $999 (about 160,000 LKR) for everyone who can’t afford an 18 core version. All in all, Intel Core i9 seems to be a promising

All in all, Intel Core i9 seems to be a promising high-end processor that is beyond the expectation of any user. It outperforms its competition and will soon be adopted by consumers around the globe with its X series processor line.

Andy Rubin කියන්නේ Android මෙහෙයුම් පද්ධතියේ පියා කිව්වොත් තමා නිවැරදි. ඉතින් මොහුගේ දැනුමෙන් නිපදවුණු Smartphone එක ගැන තමා අද කියන්න යන්නේ. ඉතින් මේ දුරකථනය කෙතරම් දුරට සාර්ථක වෙයිද කියන එකට හොඳ ඉඟියක් තමයි මේ දුරකථනය නිපදවන්නේ Android හි නිර්මාතෘ වීමත් එහි මුලික සංකල්ප හා අරමුණු වඩාත් හොඳින්ම දන්නා පුද්ගලයා ඔහු වීමත්ය.
